About this cartoon: Although the Democrats won control of the U.S. Senate in the 2021, it was by the narrowest possible margin (a 50-50 tie, with Vice President Kamala Harris as a tiebreaker). The defection of any senator could stop almost any legislation, and a couple of conservative senators are more than willing to grind Biden's agenda to a halt if they feel the least bit bent out of shape.
